Richard A. Carvill, graduated from Seattle University with a Bachelor of Science
degree in Biology in 1966. Following his graduation, Rich was commissioned
as an Army officer and his career spanned over 20 years. The military
took the Carvill family all over the world with tours to include,
Germany, Washington State, Georgia and Texas. He excelled as an Armor
and Aviation Officer and his organizational skills have complimented
his property management career.
When the Carvill family was assigned to Hawaii, they felt they had found
paradise and decided to retire here even though Rich was offered
a command on the mainland.
Rich began
his second career as a property manager in 1985 and formed a property
management company from the ground up, eventually managing 170 plus
properties island wide.
Rich's wife
Connie had become one of the premier Realtors in Hawaii and started
her own company in 1992. Rich joined her in 1995 and started a new
property management division under Carvill & Company.
Over the years,
Rich fine tuned his management skills and earned a Masters degree
in management and a Broker's license in 1997. He believes in a "hands
on" approach to tenant selection. He personally oversees all
the physical maintenance of the properties and is diligent in protecting
his owner's best interests.
Rich is an
avid sportsman and enjoys all sports but has found that water sports
in Hawaii are some of the best in the world. He gave up three hour
marathons and snow skiing for windsurfing, scuba diving, big game
fishing, kayaking, etc, etc.
"Why not live in paradise and go visit the other places", is Rich's
favorite quote.
