Growing up the daughter of a Marine Corps general has had a lasting influence on Ann. Her family moved frequently while she was growing up, giving her a first-hand appreciation of different kinds of people and diverse cultural backgrounds. In 1955 while she was in elementary school, Ann's family had the good fortune to move to Hawaii. "It was one of the favorite places we lived," she recalls. "I loved the people, the ocean, the mountains, the weather."

Twenty eight years later, Ann returned to Hawaii for good. It came about while she was visiting friends here. As she sat on Kailua Beach (named the best beach in America for 1998) ; while a February snow storm raged back home in Washington D.C. she told herself, "There's no reason I can't move here." Several months later she did.
From Washington D.C. Ann brought eight years of experience as a successful full time Realtor. She has been able to transfer her extensive real estate knowledge into the unique lifestyle she found here in the islands.
